This season the club were on a mission to raise funds for a new electronic scoreboard.

So after hearing about how the Australian Rugby Foundation (ARF) offers free support and resources it seemed like a good avenue.

The club took advantage of the ARF’s fundraising toolkit and set up a free fundraising website.

Club President Brock Parker said: ‘’Our campaign was named ‘Light up the Quins Scoreboard’ with a focus on getting broader support across the entire club and our supporter base.

‘’Though the focus was on $100 we had options of $200, $500 and enter your own amount - with many people donating more than $100.’’

The club promoted the campaign through social media and recognised each person who had donated which encouraged others to do the same.

It led to the club raising more than $15,000 which exceeded their target and proved highly successful.

We are always excited to hear about your successful fundraising campaigns, so please send your story to us by emailing amy.spinks@rugby.com.au so we can share it with our rugby community.
