Australian Rugby is a sport that is enjoyed by more than 600,000 participants nationally, including 230,000 individuals who
regularly take part in competitions or structured Rugby programs.
In partnership with the Australian Sports Foundation, we provide the opportunity for Rugby's supporters to make tax deductible contributions to invest in the future growth of our game.
Donors can choose where they would like to direct their contributions, however with your help we can raise the critical funds to invest in the following pillars.
Our Grow the Game Campaign provides the opportunity for donors to support projects crucial to securing the future of our game both by ensuring we continue to grow the game at a community level and identify and develop talented young players.
Game On! is an exciting program that connects kids who have played Rugby at school with local Rugby clubs; helping to build their skills to play Regular club Rugby and engage with their local Super Rugby team.
Game On! has an ambitious target of driving 50,000 participants into the program by 2020.
The Australian Rugby Foundation has been a committed and significant contributor to Women in Rugby. We were behind our Australian Women’s 7s Olympic Team every step of the way as they secured their 2016 Olympic Gold Medal in Rio. The funds the Foundation raised through its generous donors and a targeted fundraising luncheon supported the team with critical services, helping the team recover faster and trainer harder on the way to victory.
The Australian Rugby Foundation want to ensure that our Australian Women’s XV team have the opportunity to succeed on the world stage and are raising $200,000 for the Buildcorp Wallaroos as they prepare for the 2017 Women’s World Cup in August.
These women balance national-standard training commitments alongside full-time work. We need your help to raise much needed funds for these incredible girls.
Rugby has a long tradition of engagement with Indigenous communities throughout Australia. From Wallaby greats like the Ella brothers to the tireless work of the Lloyd McDermott Rugby Development Team (LMRDT), the contribution of Indigenous people to Rugby has been felt across the Game – from the grassroots to the gold jersey.
The Australian Indigenous Rugby Program will drive investment into Deadly 7s, a version of ARU's Game On, that will be rolled out to schools across Australia with high Indigenous student participation that utilises non-contact Rugby Sevens for a range of health and education outcomes.
The Australian Rugby Foundation support the ARU High Performance Program from elite junior development to the Wallabies and our Men’s & Women’s National 7's Teams.
The Foundation, in partnership with Hearts in Union & the Cauliflower Club, administers the Welfare Fund for Rugby Union players affected by serious injury. We are pleased to have helped members of our Rugby community, providing support to them and their families and will continue to increase our level of support.
